Here it is! Part II of Tracey + Stephen’s beautiful Tot Hill Farm wedding! The reception was full of perfect details and highlighted by a few emotional speeches by friends and family. I loved hearing stories from Stephen and Tracey’s childhood and school days together. . . they were so funny and sweet! I definitely teared up a few times (along with the rest of the audience!). Don’t forget to leave a comment!

Tracey put so much thought into every detail of the wedding. . .

The incredible Iron Hen Cafe is always delicious. They never disappoint!

And the tables were full of mismatched china, baby succulents, and hand-stamped custom napkins. . .

I am IN LOVE with Tracey’s ring. Aren’t you?

I love these moments. . . Stephen couldn’t stop playing with his ring and everyone wanted to see Tracey’s new addition :)

Yes, these tasted as good as they look. At least, I know one of them did :)

The first dance was so cute. . . Tracey and Stephen were all smiles!

I love this sweet photo of Tracey wiping her tears during her mom’s speech. . .

A sweet moment between Tracey and her brother. . .

This grand exit was so fun! All the guests had cap guns and confetti poppers to shoot!

Of course, the gun play lasted long beyond the grand exit . . .

Stephen and Tracey, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day! I hope you’re easily settling back into life on the West Coast after your honeymoon :)

Coming up soon, Baby Amelia’s session, Tonya + Jon’s wedding in Flander’s Art Gallery, Shona’s fun headshots, and (after this weekend) Rachel + Kit’s wedding in Asheville, NC!

Yes, the title says “part 1″… when it came down to it, I just couldn’t narrow everything down enough to squeeze it all into one post! Tracey, Stephen, and their coordinator/planner Leigh Pearce put SO much work and heart into this wedding! I couldn’t bear to cut out any of the incredible details, sweet smiles, or emotional moments from this day. So this post covers the early part of the day and the ceremony, the next post (hopefully tomorrow!) will feature all the amazing details from the reception and their super unique grand exit!

Tracey and Stephen both grew up in Randolph county and trekked back from Santa Monica, California to have this destination wedding at Tot Hill Farm in Asheboro. David, from A Sweet Carolina Wedding, second-shot this wedding with me. The whole day was so calm and relaxed. . . it hardly felt like we were working! Stay tuned tomorrow for the reception, some amazing table details and a cake buffet to die for!

The details . . .

I love this photo from David of the dress . . .

The girls got ready at the house on Tot Hill Farm, there were so many cute places to photograph Tracey’s accessories!

Tracey has a wonderful laugh. . .

We found the guys relaxing near the golf course. . .

Looking good, Stephen!                  (photo by David)

Tracey and Stephen chose to do a first look before the ceremony so we had more time to do portraits. . .

Stephen’s dad stopped by to grab a photo for himself. . . so sweet!

(David’s photo on the left, mine on the right)

I love the pop of that flower on Tracey’s dress. . .

These rocks on the golf course made a perfect setting for a romantic portrait of these two!

This duet played perfectly bluegrass music during the ceremony.

Tracey and her brother were all smiles walking down the aisle. It was such a sweet moment!

I LOVE these few minutes right after the ceremony. Hugs and kisses and high-fives all around!

Natty Greene’s is a true Southern beer, brewed right here in North Carolina!

We took a few more minutes for portraits on the way to join the cocktail hour. Tot Hill is full of little buildings and barns!

Make sure to check back tomorrow for details from the reception, and some really emotional moments during the speeches!

I’m so excited to share Ana + Dennis’ wedding with you today! The Proximity is an incredibly gorgeous eco-friendly hotel here in Greensboro. It’s where Jonathan and I stayed on our wedding night and first anniversary and is one of our favorite local places to visit! It was the perfect setting for this amazing, but low-key wedding. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a bride and groom as calm as Ana and Dennis were all day! As family and friends arrived for the ceremony, the buzz started to grow and when Dennis and then Ana walked down the aisle the air filled with whistles and cheers and mumbles of “oh my gosh!”. It was such a fun day to be a part of!

The details :

Venue : Proximity Hotel. Greensboro, NC
Bride’s dress : San Patrick Capricha , Anjolique Bridal in Huntersville NC
Bride’s shoes : Badgley Mischka
Brides hair & makeup artist : Jade Aveda Lifestyle Salon
Bridesmaids dresses : David’s Bridal
Officiant : Virginia Wood
Florist : Brenda McLamb at Proximity
Catering : Print Works Bistro
DJ : Charles Tenor
Cake : Maxie B’s

Ana’s bouquet was perfect with just a hint of purple!

Even with two kids in Ana’s “getting ready” room, it was still so relaxed and quiet!

I do love a one shoulder dress. . .

Isn’t she beautiful?

I’m so glad we had a few minutes with Ana alone!

She picked a great pair of shoes. . .

Once Ana was back safely in her room, we waited in the lobby for Dennis. .  .

He has a great laugh!

A few finishing touches, and we were ready for some portraits!

One of the ringbearers got a little stage fright when he got to the aisle . . .

I love this wide shot that Jonathan took of the ceremony.

Dennis told me they had been waiting for this day for a long time, so everyone was a little emotional during the ceremony.

Right after the ceremony, we took Ana + Dennis for some portraits alone. . .

I love this one. . .

I’m glad Ana brought a couple of props to use during the portrait session. . . so cute!

Cuties :)

Maxie B’s made some beautiful (and tasty!) cupcakes for the reception. I love the detail on the round cake!

Both the father-daughter and mother-son dances were precious and so fun!

After dinner the real fun began. . . I love Dennis’ face in this photo!

And this DJ was amazing! He had a great feel for the crowd and kept everyone dancing all night long!

Dennis and Ana, thank you for allowing Jonathan and I to be a part of your wedding day! We wish you the best as you begin your new life as a married couple!!

I’m back from a crazy busy weekend at the Weddings Show in Raleigh! I am so happy with how my booth turned out and met tons of great people! See those gorgeous cakes on the left? Yeah, how awesome is it that I was next to such talented bakers? (It was super awesome… I got to sample cake all weekend!). So, what do you think of the layout? The color? I love it. I kind of want to paint my office like this now. . .

Both of the desks/tables in my booth were purchased at Goodwill for a total of $45. I painted them white because they were kind of ugly when I bought them. These will also go in our house (when we buy one).

So what do you think? Did you stop by my booth at the Weddings Show? I would love to hear from you in the comments below! We’ll be back to normal posts soon… starting with Nicole + Stephen’s day after session in downtown Winston Salem, Eric + Amanda’s maternity session at an abandoned farm, and Jess + Alex’s session in downtown Raleigh!

Stella & Jon’s wedding was the last of my 2011 weddings and it couldn’t have been better! It was a fantastic way to end the year. The wedding was held on the front porch of Jon’s mother’s house on a completely stunning fall day. The intimacy of the location, the small wedding party, and the incredible details were so perfectly Stella and Jon. . . I love their relationship! They are so comfortable with each other but still seem like they’re just now falling in love. You’ll be able to see into that part of their relationship in the first look photos. Adorable!

The details . . .

Venue : Family home, Ceremony. Twenty-One and Main, Reception.
Coordinator : Leigh Pearce Weddings
Bride’s Dress : Lazaro. J Major’s Bridal Charlotte, NC.
Hair/Makeup Artist : Carla White
Officiant : Susan Dana Kennedy
Florist : Amy Lynne Originals
DJ/Videography : K2 Productions
Catering : Twenty-One and Main
Cake : Maxie B’s

Jon’s mom had this comic book from the 1950′s sitting in Stella’s room. It was one of my favorite details!

Amy Lynne Originals always does incredible work! That bouquet smelled heavenly! Jonathan and I stepped outside for a few minutes to photograph some of the amazing details. . .

Pretty much my favorite ring shot ever. . .

Jonathan got some great shots of Jon while I was with the girls . . .

Do you love Jon’s undershirt, or what?

A few finishing touches . . .

. . . and we’re ready for the first look!

I just love this series of photos!

Jon and Stella were so wrapped up in each other, I’m not sure they noticed anything else! I think this image captures them perfectly.

A little chest-bump with the maid of honor before moving on to more portraits. . .

Um, cute!

I don’t think I could’ve asked for better light to work with!

This couple could be on a magazine cover. You two are seriously stunning!

I love their invitation suite!

Jon proposed at Starbucks so there were hot drinks and coffee details everywhere. . .

Everyone threw lavender on the newlyweds after the ceremony. It smelled wonderful!

I was floored when we stepped inside Twenty-One and Main! It smelled amazing and looked perfect! Leigh is great at putting together all the little details. . .

This was some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. Jonathan and I are looking for an excuse to get back to Elkin so we can eat there again!

Stella and I did a post-wedding bridal session that will be hitting the blog in the next couple of weeks. Get ready to see more of this gorgeous bride!

I personally know about 30 people that are waiting for this blog post. A few weeks ago my very own brother was married and I am so excited to share these photos with you now! The wedding was held at Walnut Lane Bed & Breakfast in Pleasant Garden, NC amidst a backdrop of fall leaves, tons of family, and lots of love.

In the weeks leading up to the wedding I can’t tell you how many times I was asked if I would be photographing the wedding! Of course I wanted to be in the moment with my family during the ceremony, and break some moves on the dance floor later, but I couldn’t help doing some shooting too :) I had the always lovely Megan Finger there to cover the wedding so I could relax when I wanted to!

Walnut Lane has tons of great spaces to shoot in. . .

Carla White did Amanda’s hair and makeup. . . beautiful, as always!

I love that you can see Megan and I in the mirror. . . we had to make an appearance in at least one photo!

I loved the bridesmaids dresses on Amanda’s sisters. . . gorgeous!

The boys got ready downstairs . . .

John and Joe did some wedding coverage, too :)

Aren’t they handsome?

John had quite an audience while reading his letter from Amanda. . .

I usually don’t post family photos on my blog but this is a little different because it’s my family and they’re all so good looking!

Megan caught this photo of Amanda’s dad seeing her for the first time. So precious!

Isn’t the altar gorgeous?

Megan grabbed this photo right after the ceremony. I know they were excited to finally be married!

The girl from this big family . . .

. . . married the boy from this big family. That’s a lot of in-laws!

We all spent months gathering this vintage mismatched china and rolling paper flowers. . . it turned out so beautifully!

After dinner we took Amanda + John for a few portraits around the property . . .

I love this old tobacco barn!

Then it was back to the reception tent for dancing, cake, toasts, and more dancing!

I love John and Amanda’s reaction to the toasts. . .

Seriously, there was a lot of dancing going on that night . . .

A beautiful sparkler exit, and they’re off!

Amanda + John, I love you guys so much! We’re all so excited for you!

Check back later this week for images from the photobooth at the wedding!
