I’m so thrilled to be sharing this super fun wedding with you today! Caroline + Billy traveled from Georgia to marry at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, NC. Their wedding was a perfect blend of vintage and modern with reception details hinting at the couple’s love for (and history with) music.
Caroline had her mom’s wedding dress from the 70’s altered and updated and wore it down the aisle to meet her groom. She also wore a garter that has been passed down through the family since her parent’s wedding! So sweet! The getting-ready process was filled with nervous giggles, hugs, and tears. . . I loved Caroline’s reaction to seeing herself in the mirror for the first time on her wedding day and her sweet dad literally couldn’t take his eyes off her the entire day. She was seriously gorgeous.
The guys definitely weren’t outdone, though. They looked so classy in suspenders and bow-ties. What a perfectly southern groom’s party! Even sweet puppy Grady (the guest of honor) was all dressed up for the occasion!
After surviving a short-lived rain sprinkle during the ceremony, Caroline switched into a super cute, short, polka-dot dress and Billy donned a pair of Chuck Taylors for the reception where the party got started. The night finished out with an awesome performance by Billy’s band and a streamer exit that had Caroline + Billy all tangled up! What a perfectly fun and beautiful day. Congratulations you two! I hope that our paths cross again in the future.. give Grady a squeeze for me!
