Courtney + Aaron’s sweet, intimate wedding in the mountains was just what I needed earlier this month! With a guest list of less than forty people, the entire day felt so relaxed and close. Plus, the drive up to Blowing Rock was incredible! We had the perfect North Carolina fall day and the Blue Ridge Parkway was so relaxing… I pulled onto the property of the Westglow Resort & Spa and followed the driveway up the mountain to the most beautiful view! As I photographed both Courtney + Aaron getting ready before the ceremony, I was so touched by their gifts to each other. Each of them gave the other something that they didn’t particularly like, but knew their other half would love. When Courtney opened her speaker set, she was so excited! “Aaron knows I love to listen to my music loud!”. And Aaron was practically speechless when he opened the engraved cigar humidor from his bride. “She knows I love cigars but she hates when I smoke them”. They both were so thoughtful and selfless in their gifts to each other… it was beautiful to see!
The ceremony was followed by a beautiful dinner, hilarious and heartfelt toasts, and finished up with an amazing dance by Courtney and her maid of honor, and a couple of special guests. Courtney + Aaron, I seriously loved being a part of this day. You made me feel like part of the family and am so sad our time together is over! Love you guys!
