Kelly + Marc. Chicago Wedding.

What a fun weekend this turned out to be! Since Kelly + Marc’s wedding was in Chicago, Jonathan and I decided to make a weekend out of it and drove up north on our longest road trip as a family so far. I was a little nervous about the length of the drive but it was so nice to have 13 hours (each way) by ourselves, driving, talking, reading to each other, and just holding hands in silence (while Winnie the Pooh played for Noah on the backseat tv, of course). I love that we can enjoy that much one-on-one time together after four and a half years of marriage. And I know it will just get better and better!

I have a feeling Kelly + Marc are going to be the same way. You can see it in the way they both meticulously got ready for each other the morning of the wedding. The way that Marc smiled ear to ear as he saw his bride walk down the aisle. And Kelly’s excitement before their first kiss. I’m so thrilled for them both and I know their families are too. Their wedding was so centered around family with the ceremony taking place in Bethany Chapel, where Kelly’s parents attended as newlyweds and many of her aunts and uncles were married. Kelly’s brother, who’s currently serving in the military, was able to FaceTime the family the morning of the wedding and at the end of the ceremony, Kelly + Marc went back into the sanctuary and dismissed the guests row by row with hugs. It was so sweet!

Kelly + Marc, I know you had the best time on your honeymoon. I hope Illinois was just a tad warmer when you got home!
