Man, I have a special one to share with you today! I have been looking forward to Tanya + Erick’s wedding since their New Jersey/NYC engagement session in November. They are so fun and laid-back and that always makes for a great wedding day! We started the afternoon in the bridal suite where Erick had delivered some special gifts to his bride, his mother, and his (soon-to-be) mother-in-law. It was such a sweet surprise! And that’s just how Tanya + Erick both are – so thoughtful and kind! Their friends and family were included in everything and I’m sure they felt so special.
After getting ready, Tanya + Erick had the sweetest first look (attended by their family and close friends). The
ceremony began with the officiant (Tanya’s sister) asking for everyone to put away their phones, cameras, and other devices and get to know the people around them! It allowed for a distraction-free ceremony and so many great
moments. The guests burst into a spontaneous round of applause and then friendly waves when Tanya made it to the end of the aisle. It was so sweet! Their gorgeous ceremony was sealed with a picture perfect kiss and a joyful
recession down the aisle. It started to sprinkle right after family portraits so we grabbed a handful of newlywed
portraits and headed to the reception where it turned into a complete downpour right after cocktail hour! Tanya + Erick’s first dance was followed by a surprise vocal performance by Erick, and a round of emotional toasts from their families. The sun popped out during the rain shower and, soon after, a double rainbow was spotted. We stepped outside for a few more photos before kicking off the dance party inside. Then, the sun set. Guys. THE most gorgeous pinkish-purple-cotton-candy sunset was the perfect end to the crazy weather! We stepped into a nearby field and allowed Tanya + Erick to enjoy their first sunset as husband and wife. Then it was party time. These people seriously know how to party!
Tanya + Erick – I know you enjoyed your honeymoon (judging by your amazing Instagram photos!)… and I hope that you’re settling back into your sweet Hoboken apartment and enjoying newly-married life! I’ll check in next time I’m in New York!! ;)
