This family is so so special. I actually can’t remember if Brittany and I had met in real life before this session. Her sister (hey, BriAnna!) and I were good friends in high school and I’ve followed Brittany on social media for years as she married William and had two sweet little ones. Her little girl, Ruby Kate, says the funniest things and Jack is just plain CUTE!

Early this year, Brittany and William found out they were expecting another little addition to the family, due just a couple of months after my little boy! But at the same time they discovered they were going to have another girl, the ultrasound showed that she has anencephaly and most likely won’t be with this beautiful family on earth very long before going to be with Jesus. I know it has been a heartbreaking and unimaginably difficult time for the entire family but the way they have walked through the pain, holding on to hope and sharing their faith has been incredibly beautiful. Brittany and William have not shied away from telling their story and the struggle of trusting in a good God while suffering through heartbreak and I’m so honored that I was able to document this family of five. Baby Hazel is so loved and I know her story is already making a difference because of her parents faithfulness and strength.

Psalm 139:13-16 –
